Q Acoustics Concept Centre Overview
The Concept Centre Channel Speaker is the latest product in Q Acoustics' range. Concept 50 is a relatively small floorstanding speaker with a good bass response. The bass content sounded well articulated and authoritative. However, Q Acoustics' single-tone dynamic response is not sufficient to capture the emotional content of a song.
This floorstanding speaker is similar to the Concept 50, but it's priced about 30% cheaper than its flagship counterparts. Concept 30 shares the same design aesthetic as other Q Acoustics speakers, including Concept 50 and Concept 90. Although it's not as impressive as its more expensive siblings, Concept 30 is a solid centre channel speaker that produces accurate and detailed sound. It's also relatively easy to use, with easy-to-understand controls and accessories. Its modest price tag belies its humble beginnings. It also offers good sensitivity and a benign impedance. Its placement is unfussy, making it easy to install.
The Concept Centre is the heart of the Concept Cinema System. The center speaker uses the company's innovative Gel core cabinet technology that was originally developed for Concept 20 and Concept 40. As a result, the Concept Centre delivers crisp, clear dialogue. In addition to good sound, the Concept Centre is attractive enough to look at. The only drawback is that the Concept Centre doesn't come with standard mounting threads, so you may need to install floor stands.
